Shelley, 5th generation islander The freedom I experienced in the West Falklands as a child was truly incomparable. There was something special about being able to explore the outdoors without any restrictions. I am grateful for the freedom to learn in a familiar and comfortable environment, and I am so fortunate to have had a traveling teacher come to our house to provide a quality education. The West Falklands are a place of beauty and wonder. I have so many fond memories of my childhood and every day I am thankful to be able to bring my own children up in such a beautiful and inspiring environment. Growing up in the West Falklands was an amazing experience, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am so thankful for the opportunity to explore the outdoors and learn in a comfortable and familiar environment. I am grateful for the beauty of the crystal clear waters, lush hills, and abundant wildlife. Most of all, I am grateful for the freedom I had to explore the outdoors without any restrictions. The West Falklands is a place of beauty and wonder that I will cherish forever.
It was a magical time for me growing up in the Falklands. I remember the days when the main mode of transport was horseback.. for me every day was an adventure! I also remember the early days of television, phones, roads, and internet links that we now take for granted. With the outside world just a click away, I was able to learn so much about the unique culture and lifestyle of the Falklands. The Falklands will always have a special place in my heart. I was so lucky to have experienced it all first hand. From the days of horseback riding, to the modern technology of today, I'm so proud to have grown up in such an incredible place. I'm sure everyone who visits the Falklands will agree that it's truly a magical place full of adventure and wonder...
